Indian Banyan

Ficus benghalensi, MOVACEAE

No one can miss a banyan tree.  Most noticeable of its morphology is the aerial roots.  The tree is usually big and in terms of the way it's spread, its one of world largest (so I read).  It's got it's name because it's because merchants selling all kinds of stuff, foods and goods under the  huge tree.  Someone told me, the one in Lahaina (Maui) is the best representation of this.  I also heard it's famous place to check out.
