"Nanu"

Gardenia Brighamii, Family Rubiaceae

Also known as "Na'u",this is a native gardenia (endemic) and a rare, endangered tree.
It is one of my favorite..
It has this sweet intoxicating smell that can drive anyone to rubbing the tree of its flower.  But then again, suppose that's what it wants us to do.  If you look closer there's ants all over the center of the flower..(.a little closer)

Indian Banyan

Ficus benghalensi, MOVACEAE

No one can miss a banyan tree.  Most noticeable of its morphology is the aerial roots.  The tree is usually big and in terms of the way it's spread, its one of world largest (so I read).  It's got it's name because it's because merchants selling all kinds of stuff, foods and goods under the  huge tree.  Someone told me, the one in Lahaina (Maui) is the best representation of this.  I also heard it's famous place to check out.
